Tell us the job
Enclosure volume, access, and how long the job runs. That is all we need to size the unit properly.
We confirm the unit and the rate
You get the machine that fits the enclosure, not the one nearest the roller door. Under-size it and it will not hold the differential. Over-size it and the enclosure becomes unworkable.
It arrives tested
Serviced, filter-checked and DOP tested before it leaves our Auburn NSW facility, with the certificate supplied.

When hire wins
A job that needs more capacity than your own fleet covers, for a few weeks only. A machine you need once a year and cannot justify owning. Or a job you have won but not yet been paid for, where the cash is better used elsewhere.
When owning wins
On most of the fleet, somewhere between four and eight weeks of hire reaches the purchase price of the machine. If a unit is going to be on your sites more than a couple of months a year, owning it is usually cheaper, and you control when it gets serviced.
Frequently asked questions
What size enclosure does the Smart Dec S55 suit?
It moves 900 m3/h with the filter fitted, which suits single rooms and small enclosures. Tell us the volume and we will confirm whether one is enough.
Can I run two Smart Dec S55 units together?
Yes, and it is common. The housings stack, so two units take barely more floor space than one, and it is often neater than hiring a single larger machine.
How often do the filters need changing on the S55?
A change takes about three minutes and the design keeps emissions low while you do it. Original Deconta filters are fitted before dispatch.
Does the S55 restart after a power cut?
Yes. Automatic soft start, including after a power failure, so it comes back on without anyone walking the site.
How is a negative pressure unit different from an air scrubber?
A negative pressure unit exhausts an enclosure to outside and holds it under negative pressure. An air scrubber recirculates and filters air within a space. They do different jobs and one does not replace the other.
Is it DOP tested before it goes out?
Yes. Serviced, filter-checked and DOP tested before it leaves our Auburn NSW facility, with the dated certificate supplied for the actual unit you receive.
What negative pressure should the enclosure hold?
Australian practice works to around minus 12 Pa as a practical working minimum for friable removal, and the differential has to be monitored and recorded. Check the current code as adopted in your state.
Are filters included in the hire?
Original Deconta filters are fitted and checked before dispatch. The machines are only tested with them, so nothing else goes in.
