Tell us the job
Enclosure volume, access, and how long the job runs. That is all we need to size the unit properly.
We confirm the unit and the rate
You get the machine that fits the enclosure, not the one nearest the roller door. Under-size it and it will not hold the differential. Over-size it and the enclosure becomes unworkable.
It arrives tested
Serviced, filter-checked and DOP tested before it leaves our Auburn NSW facility, with the certificate supplied.

When hire wins
A job that needs more capacity than your own fleet covers, for a few weeks only. A machine you need once a year and cannot justify owning. Or a job you have won but not yet been paid for, where the cash is better used elsewhere.
When owning wins
On most of the fleet, somewhere between four and eight weeks of hire reaches the purchase price of the machine. If a unit is going to be on your sites more than a couple of months a year, owning it is usually cheaper, and you control when it gets serviced.

What is the Smart Dec S400 SE used for?
The S400 SE is a negative pressure unit used to maintain negative pressure inside asbestos enclosures and hazardous dust containment areas. It filters contaminated air and helps prevent fibres and particles from escaping the work zone.
How much airflow does the Smart Dec S400 provide?
The Smart Dec S400 delivers up to 5,400 m³/h airflow with filters fitted and up to 7,000 m³/h free-blowing airflow, making it suitable for medium to large containment projects.
What does SE mean?
SE refers to Deconta's manual stepless speed control system. Airflow can be adjusted as required and a manometer indicates when filter replacement is necessary.
Is the Smart Dec S400 suitable for asbestos removal?
Yes. The unit is specifically designed for filtering asbestos-contaminated air and maintaining negative pressure within asbestos enclosures.
Does the unit include HEPA filtration?
Yes. The Smart Dec S400 uses a two-stage filtration system with a threefold sealed HEPA filter designed for hazardous dust and asbestos applications.
How do I know when the filter needs changing?
The SE control system includes a manometer that indicates when filter replacement is required.
Can I hire multiple negative pressure units together?
Yes. On larger enclosures, multiple NPUs are often used to achieve the required airflow while providing redundancy if a filter change is needed.
Can I hire the NPU and decontamination equipment together?
Yes. We can supply negative pressure units, personnel locks, material locks, decontamination units and water management systems as part of a complete containment package.
