You get the machine that fits the enclosure, not the one nearest the roller door. Under-size it and it will not hold the differential. Over-size it and the enclosure becomes unworkable.

When hire wins
A job that needs more capacity than your own fleet covers, for a few weeks only. A machine you need once a year and cannot justify owning. Or a job you have won but not yet been paid for, where the cash is better used elsewhere.
When owning wins
On most of the fleet, somewhere between four and eight weeks of hire reaches the purchase price of the machine. If a unit is going to be on your sites more than a couple of months a year, owning it is usually cheaper, and you control when it gets serviced.
Frequently asked questions
What is a material lock and why do I need one?
A material lock is the airlock used to move tools, equipment and waste in and out of an enclosure without compromising containment. It provides a controlled transfer point between contaminated and clean areas while helping maintain enclosure integrity.
What is the difference between a material lock and a personnel lock?
A personnel lock is for workers entering and leaving the enclosure. A material lock is for transferring waste bags, tools, equipment and materials. Most asbestos projects use both so people and materials follow separate pathways.
Why do I need a material lock on an asbestos enclosure?
Without a dedicated material lock, every transfer of waste or equipment increases the risk of contamination escaping the enclosure. A material lock creates a controlled process for moving materials while keeping the enclosure secure.
Can chambers be added later?
Yes. The ECO-LINE is modular, so additional chambers can be added as project requirements change. Existing components are reused, making expansion more cost-effective than replacing the entire system.
What can be transferred through the material lock?
Waste bags, tools, equipment, consumables and other materials required for asbestos removal and remediation projects can all be transferred through the material lock.
Does it need a negative pressure unit as well?
The material lock works alongside a negative pressure unit, not instead of one. The enclosure still needs negative pressure to maintain containment, and we can supply both on the same hire.
How many chambers do I need?
The right configuration depends on the size of the enclosure, the amount of material being transferred and the nature of the work. Tell us about the project and we will recommend the most suitable setup.

Yes, and many contractors do. One order, one delivery and a matched containment system designed to work together on site.
Can I hire the material lock and NPU together?
Yes. Most containment projects require both. We can supply the material lock, personnel lock and negative pressure unit as a complete package, matched to the enclosure and project requirements.
