UN Marked Heavy Duty Asbestos Disposal Bag – 1 Tonne FIBC Bulk Bag

Designed for the secure containment, handling and transport of asbestos waste, this heavy duty 1 tonne asbestos disposal bag is manufactured for professional asbestos removal, demolition, remediation and hazardous waste applications.

Constructed from heavy duty woven polypropylene with an internal PE liner, this large-capacity FIBC bulk bag provides a durable solution for containing asbestos-containing materials and contaminated building waste.

The bag is UN marked and performance tested in accordance with the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, with testing covering stacking, drop, tear, righting and top-lift performance.

With a 1 tonne Safe Working Load (SWL) and heavy duty lifting loops, the bag is suitable for demanding asbestos removal and demolition projects where strength, capacity and reliable mechanical handling are required.

Each bag is clearly printed with asbestos warning identification, Class 9 hazardous goods marking and UN packaging markings, providing clear identification during handling and transport.

Important Asbestos Packaging Information

This FIBC is designed as a heavy duty outer bulk container for asbestos waste. The internal 50µm PE liner must not be relied upon as a substitute for asbestos-specific primary waste packaging.

Asbestos-containing materials must be appropriately bagged, wrapped, sealed and labelled in accordance with the applicable state or territory asbestos regulations, codes of practice and disposal facility requirements before being placed into this FIBC.

For example, in NSW, asbestos waste is generally required to be double bagged or securely double wrapped using minimum 200µm plastic, appropriately labelled and sealed before transport and disposal. Where bags are used, the opening should be securely sealed using an appropriate method such as goose-necking and heavy duty tape.

Do not rely on the FIBC or its 50µm internal liner as the sole containment system for asbestos waste.

Packaging and acceptance requirements may vary between jurisdictions and licensed asbestos disposal facilities. Always confirm local requirements before use.
